Job Description:Proficiency with DB2 LUW v10/v11 database administration on UNIX or Linux platforms on medium to large systemsGood exposure to UDB DBA maintenance activities like reorgs, runstats, back-up, restore, expanding and reducing the table-spaces.Performance Tuning of databases by designing appropriate architecture and tuning of database instances.Experience in various DB2 utilities like LOAD/IMPORT/EXPORT/DB2MOVE and RUNSTATS/REORG.Experience in Backup and Restore (various restore methodologies)Good knowledge on Capacity planning & forecasting.Experience in new DB2 database builds ,patching and version upgrades.Should be well versed with advanced concepts like DB2 DPF, HADR with TSA etc.Exposure on DR test & strategies like Failover Clustering/HADR.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
