Responsibilities you would expect the Subcon to shoulder and execute*:

Maintains, develops and builds Windows Server and x86 technical solutions Partners with enterprise architecture, operations, application teams, procurement, finance, and asset management to develop plans to materialize new Windows Server and x86 technology strategies. Serves as the Windows Server and x86 solution engineer in the analysis, design and planning phases of infrastructure related projects Manages systems and infrastructure projects (e.g., design, evaluation, certification, deployment, troubleshooting) Partners with operations to review reoccurring problems where re - engineering is required.As required, participates in critical incidents Provides guidance to peers, leadership and customers on Windows Server and x86 engineering solutions as related to the IT enterprise architecture and business strategies in order to develop a broad base of understanding for tactical and strategic solutions among team members Substantially contribute to continuous improvement of process and technology in the x86 infrastructure platform services area

Key Skills / Experience Required:

An in-depth understanding of Windows Server and x86 Technologies - Windows Server, x86 hardware, Blades / Composable Blades, high availability clustering and server virtualization (VMware). An in-depth knowledge of scripting (i.e. - powershell, powercli, vbscript, batch, perl, etc.). Knowledge of Ansible, Chef, Puppet, VMware vRealize a plus. An in-depth knowledge of Windows Server and x86 server management tools (i.e. – HPE OneView, DELL Open Manage, MS SCCM, etc.) Working knowledge with bare metal x86 server hardware Experience with Windows containers is a plus Experience with configuration management software is a plus (i.e. bigfix, Tivoli, Ansible, Chef, Puppet) An understanding of related and supporting technologies – Storage, Backup & Recovery and networking An understanding of Linux operating systems Minimum of 8 years of related IT business work experience Proven record of Windows Server and x86 technologies Multi-cultural/ virtual team experience preferred. Significant experience in deploying and integration of large, complex solutions at Fortune 100 class companies Self-starter, able to independently identify, research, analyze, and execute in solving problems Solves highly complex problems within their work team Solid technical aptitude, leadership, mentoring, and customer facing skills Stays up-to-date with technology and industry trends for Windows Server and x86 technologies by proactively participating in training, self-study, conferences, webcasts, user group participation, reading or other relevant means Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence and drive outcomes
