The IT Contracts & Licensing Manager has responsibility for independently managing all aspects of vendor and contract relationships within IT. Identifying strategic sourcing initiatives, driving cost savings, quality improvement, identifying and improving efficiencies and support growth strategies across respective departments within IT.
The IT Contracts & Licensing Manager works independently and is expected to use initiative and sound judgment in carrying out the day to day responsibilities to support of Fred Hutch Cancer Center IT.
Key areas of focus include:
Responsibility for building and managing relationships with customers and key suppliers. Identify strategic sourcing initiatives, drive cost savings, quality improvement, identify and improve efficiencies and support growth strategies across respective departments.Executing sourcing strategies.Managing or leading RFI/RFPs and vendor negotiations.Ensuring License compliance across Enterprise applicationsThe IT Contracts & Licensing Manager reports to the IT Director of Business Operations.

Responsibilities Manage day to day activities associated with sourcing strategic purchased services and technology investments.Communicate effectively and foster good relationships with internal and external stakeholders the priorities of IT.Provide business and functional advice, guidance, and expertise to stakeholders to inform strategic business and investment decisions.Manage and facilitate dispute resolutions with stakeholders and vendors.Manage the RFI and RFP processes evaluating third party vendors to enable stakeholders to make informed purchasing decisions.Lead contract negotiations and establish standard terms and conditions for services, including soliciting input from internal stakeholders, finance, Fred Hutch purchasing, Fred Hutch legal services and multiple IT groups within Fred Hutch and the program.Originate and negotiate well-crafted, comprehensive contracts, scopes of work, and related documents that clearly identifies roles, responsibilities, obligations and remedies for breach.Establish and manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) including performance goals, quality measures, performance reporting, incentives, and penalties.Provide critical input to strategic decision-making processes regarding vendor selection and ongoing vendor and contract management.Establish governance and standards for vendor and contracts management.Continuously build on knowledge base of new and relevant best practices and technologies.Participate in divisional or institutional improvement projects and problem resolution related to contracts and vendor management.Oversee the creation and maintenance of a comprehensive database of all licensing contracts, ensuring accurate record-keeping for financial and legal compliance.Ensure licensing compliance across IT and drive costs savings through effective management Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required. The annual base salary range for this position is from $109,637 to $173,264, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
