IT Controller Europe
The position
In this new and exciting position, we are looking for an enthusiastic IT Controller with a strong background in financial management and cost control. Adept at analyzing financial data, preparing budgets, and implementing measures to enhance cost-control, insights in spend and efficiency of IT-related financial processes. Possesses excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The great part of this role is that it is a new role within our organisation, you will build and set up your own role and will add strong value to our organisation. You report to the Manager Accounting & Financial Control but will have a lot of interaction with various stakeholders in our head quarter such as: CFO Europe, IT Director Europe, Group Tax manager and various Managers in IT.
Key responsibilities include
Budget management; develop and manage IT budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and financial constraints.
Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
IT Investments (capital expenditures); raise proposals, monitor progress, assign costs to capex accounts, monitor internal hours spent.
Responsible for financial reporting and preparing and presenting financial reports, including variance analysis, to senior management.
Monitor and track IT expenses, ensuring compliance with budgetary guidelines.
Support contract-negotiations and help manage relationships with IT vendors to optimize costs.
Provide accurate financial forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal policies, including adherence to IFRS standards.
About you
We’re looking for an analytical, pro-active and communicative person who wants to be part of our talented team. Do you recognise yourself in the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CIMA, CPA) is a plus.
At least two years of experience in financial analysis and (cost) control;
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Excel, PowerBI).
You show a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Meticulous in tracking and analyzing financial data.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
You own your job and enjoy bringing your value to an organisation.
