IT Cybersecurity Analyst - Hybrid

 

Job Overview:

 

As a IT Security Analyst, you’ll be responsible for protecting the company’s information resources across the enterprise. The analyst will be involved in assisting with IT risk assessments, data classification and protection strategy and implementation, and third-party risk management (TPRM) with a cyber security lens. The team member will be reviewing results of vulnerability assessments & prioritizing remediations. The individual will perform tasks such as identifying and documenting potential cyber risks and assisting across various cyber initiatives and projects.

  Your Responsibilities:

 

Participates in the evaluation, development, and implementation of security standards, procedures, and guidelines for multiple platforms and diverse systems environments. Participates in the evaluation, development, testing and implementation of emerging data access control technologies, information systems security issues, safeguards and techniques. Provides security consulting and project management services on complex issues related to data access, integrity, confidentiality and business continuity. Assists management in identifying security risks to applications and implementing appropriate data security procedures and products. Maintain an awareness of security policies and government regulations pertaining to information security. Serve as a resource for security and compliance activities with a focus on assessing security risk and assisting in formulating a prioritized approach to addressing the identified risk(s). Support other organizational compliance and security efforts including application risk assessments, server and application scanning, etc. Confer with project and/or cross-functional teams through strong communication. Set priorities, balances workload and resources available while driving project execution. Engage with technology and business partners to ensure compliance with required assessments per company policy/standards; perform quality assurance validation of issues and assessments prior to closure or completion. Assist in testing and reporting the effectiveness of IT security controls. Conduct gap analyses for existing processes, as needed and to ensure identified gaps are addressed. Participate in major IT/special projects as an internal security & compliance consultant to provide direction, review and support by bringing an awareness and focus on security, compliance or regulatory concerns. Continually update knowledge of security, compliance and regulatory issues that will impact FirstService Residential by keeping current with trends and issues in the industry, including current and evolving technologies. Reviews detailed reports on the vulnerabilities of systems and helps prioritize an approach to address the gaps via industry standard practices. Will be expected to utilize NIST, ITIL or other practice methodologies to assess our operations.

Skills & Qualifications:

 

1 to 3 years of progressively responsible related work experience within a technical discipline. Strong foundation in systems architecture and design may balance experience in the information security discipline. BA/BS degree or equivalent experience. CISA, CISSP or other related certifications is a plus.
