IT Manager – Americas Technology Delivery Manager

GENERAL PURPOSE
The Americas Technology Delivery Manager will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of key technology initiatives, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives. This role will define and control our test strategy, manage documentation best practices, and lead major programs, ensuring the proper sequencing of project deliverables. The Americas Technology Delivery Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of technology projects and programs, contributing to the organization’s overall technology roadmap.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•    Provide delivery of comprehensive and innovative solutions that address complex current and future needs to achieve goals.
•    Works with business partners to develop, present, communicate, and execute roadmap strategies.
•    Assist in defining our organizational coordinated test strategy, working with department leaders around test cycles
•    Work with our major project steering committees to lead, guide and participate in activities to support positive project outcomes
•    Drive documentation such as project plans, user stories, requirements, roadmaps, flowcharts, architecture diagrams, and test scripts.
•    Collaborate across business unit teams to enable shared awareness for change management at departmental and enterprise levels.
•    Ensure reliable performance of enterprise systems for assigned areas of responsibility.
•    Builds and develops a strong team; distributes the workload equitably.
•    Identifies individual team member career development needs and resources/ activities to address them.
•    Monitors IT best practices and develops appropriate standards, policies, and guidelines.
•    Takes a lead role on a portion of major projects or must solve very complex problems.
•    Manages medium to large project budgets; accountable for expenses.
•    Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

ADDITIONAL ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•    Guides business and technology team members to adopt best business process practices when implementing systems that support multiple financial systems capabilities.
•    Professional experience across the delivery landscape, including Agile Applications development, deployment, and support.
•    Applies experience gained on ERP projects and identifies opportunities for improving existing integrations to improve support and reduce maintenance.
•    Manages application lifecycle and roadmap planning in partnership with the MillerKnoll Enterprise Application team.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant academic discipline strongly preferred; Master's Degree preferred.
8+ years of professional IT & IS experience.
Minimum 10 years of project leadership experience.
Minimum 5 years of management experience.

•    Proficient understanding of fundamental technologies used to support assigned business function.
•    Broad understanding of cross functional processes and enterprise architecture.
•    Drives for root cause when problem solving. Applies strategic thinking to create simplification and agility.
•    Understanding of the tools available to administer the required processes of managing a team.
•    Demonstrated ability to communicate information, ideas, procedures, and processes in a logical sequence at an appropriate level.
•    Effectively embraces challenges head on despite ambiguity. Drives for clarity of expectations. 
•    Accurately scopes out length and difficulty of work packages. 
•    Ability to view opportunities and solutions from a broad, long-term perspective.
•    Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
