CTG's premier client has a contract assignment for an IT Desktop Support opening. Type: Contract Job Title: IT Desktop Support Location: Fort Worth, TX Pay Rate: Based on experience Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm Education: Associate’s degree in IT-related field preferred or High School diploma with equivalent years of experience in a similar role. A successful candidate in this position will possess strong soft skills as well as: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing priorities Description As IT Desktop Support, you will be responsible for the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of hardware and software technology, as well as providing first-level support for users. Your tasks will include assisting users with IT-related issues, managing inventory, training end-users, and contributing to IT-related activities within the organization. Responsibilities: Responsible for the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of hardware and software technology. Respond to requests and incident tickets for first-level support to users (onsite and remote) on any IT-related matter, escalating to levels 2 and 3 when applicable. Manage spares and assets inventory using the inventory management tool. Provide training to end-users and communicate corporate IT initiatives, best practices, and other relevant IT-related topics. Participate in IT-related activities related to office and manufacturing systems. Propose and implement solutions to improve and solve routine IT problems. Support new hires' onboarding by introducing them to hardware, software, and IT policies. Follow standard operating procedures. Maintain and ensure confidentiality of information and materials. Take initiative to identify and propose remedies to IT-related problems. Provide periodic status reports in written and verbal formats. Always prioritize safety. Required Qualifications Education: Associate’s degree in IT-related field preferred or High School diploma with equivalent years of experience in a similar role. Relevant certifications are a plus. Required Experience: 3+ years of experience in an IT support role working with end-users. 3+ years of experience working with computer hardware and software, including installation and maintenance. Advanced knowledge of Windows OS and MS Suite. Experience working with computer networks. Desired Skills: General knowledge of mobile technology. General knowledge of “ticketing systems” (e.g., ServiceNow). Strong communication, problem-solving, organization, and teamwork skills. Ability to handle changing priorities and effectively organize tasks. Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills. Technical knowledge of computer hardware, software, printers, and peripheral equipment. High-level knowledge of LAN/WAN equipment and topology. Must be a self-starter, able to work in a team environment and motivate others. Additional Information: No third-party resumes will be accepted.
