Position Title: IT Desktop Support Specialist

Position Summary
Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused IT Desktop Support Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support for our desktop and wireless laptop computing environment. Your responsibilities will include installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting desktop hardware and software, implementing upgrades, and resolving end-user device and network issues. Key Responsibilities
Provide support for desktop hardware, software, and wireless devices, ensuring compliance with SRHS and IT policies and procedures. Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop PCs, laptops, peripherals, printers, and other IT equipment. Deploy and support PC-based applications, including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and internal applications. Evaluate, prioritize, and resolve incoming incident and change tickets related to hardware, software, networking, and other technologies. Perform system imaging and conditioning of IT equipment. Participate in on-call support for priority incidents and problems during evenings and after hours as scheduled. Assist with IT equipment moves and changes, coordinating with the IT Project Coordinator as needed. Analyze, diagnose, and resolve technical issues, escalating complex problems to higher-level specialists when necessary. Maintain detailed documentation of client issues and resolutions in the problem management database. Implement hardware upgrades, such as memory and hard drive replacements, to improve system performance. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve user problems and ensure compatibility across systems. Participate in project planning, application go-live activities, and post-live support. Monitor project milestones and escalate risks or issues to project leadership.Minimum Requirements
Education: High School Diploma Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in deployment, support, and troubleshooting of PC-related equipment, including desktop PCs, laptops, peripherals, printers, and wireless devices. Proficiency in PC-based applications such as Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and internal applications. License/Certifications: None required.Preferred Qualifications
Education: Trade School or Associate Degree in Computer Training. Experience: 3+ years of desktop support experience. Certifications: Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) or similar credentials.Core Competencies
