We are looking for a Digital & Web Technical Solutions Lead to join us in our IT Web Solutions Team based in Atlanta, GA
About the role
This role will involve creating and implementing web-focused strategies to advance our global and local digital presence. You will utilize a diverse array of web platforms, technology solutions, and innovative techniques to support our web and brand initiatives. The successful candidate will own the overarching roadmap for Web, define UCB architectural standards for content management systems (CMS) and Partner with UCB’s strategic IT providers to ensure stability and continuous operation of our Web platform in adherence to UCB architectural standards.

This individual will cultivate strong relationships with external partners to develop a shared vision which equips our vendors and agencies with the necessary resources and guidance to ensure the production of high-quality deliverables. The role entails building essential relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to drive web-related solutions and strategies forward.
What you’ll do
Technical Leadership: Demonstrate a profound grasp of Drupal, encompassing architecture, theming, module development, and best practices. Additionally, leverage expertise in modern MACH (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, and Headless) architecture principles for web development, providing comprehensive technical leadership and guidance to developers and creative agencies, cultivating a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.Expertise: Take on overall technical ownership, offering direction and guidance to development teams on technical aspects and challenges and define UCB standards and guardrails for operations teams to operate within.Reusable Templates & Components: Demonstrate a track record of technical delivery of projects using reusable templates and components within design frameworks using component-driven development approach, facilitating easy reuse of modules and templates across various projects while maintaining design consistency, reducing development time, and ensuring the flexibility needed to adapt to evolving project requirements.Code Review: Regularly conduct code reviews to ensure strict adherence to coding best practices, security standards, and Drupal coding conventions. Collaborate closely with the architecture team to define the technical specifications and project architectures for Drupal.Mentorship: Nurture and coach developers, fostering their skill development and knowledge sharing to elevate the team's proficiency. Stay current with the latest trends and technologies within the Drupal and MACH ecosystem, recommending their integration when applicable. Proactively identify and resolve technical obstacles, delivering innovative solutions to intricate problems.

Bachelors Degree5+ years of deep hands-on expertise in the software development using Open source preferably Drupal CMSProficiency in Drupal 10 and Drupal/Acquia certified, API-driven content delivery (e.g. Contentful)Strong knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologiesExperience integrating with third-party systems with a variety of APIs and styles, experience developing and implementing API service architectureFamiliarity with MySQL, REST APIs, JSON, XML, AJAXProvide advice on Design and Development Solution Technical, design and develop enterprise software solutions using Open sourceDeployment of applications using Azure Kubernetes preferredHigh level of comfort with digital healthcare strategies, trends, and opportunities and discussing and strategizing the use of web technology preferred
The reasonably anticipated base salary range for this position is $135,000 - $160,000 per year. Please note: UCB’s offered salary will be based on individual candidate qualifications and/or location and may fall outside the expected range.
