What will I be doing? 

\n

The IT Executive assists in all the Information Systems operations of the resort and has a solid working knowledge of personal computer hardware and software applications. Be able to assist various users in day-to-day inquiries relating to personal computers and be conversant with the various applications such as front office system, back office system, point of sale system, banquet/catering system and any other resort related software installed within the resort.

During the absence or leave of the Assistant Manager, he/she should be able to handle trouble shooting and coordination with various users to ensure the smooth operation of various applications. Must be able to handle guest inquiries relating to computers.

\n

The IT Executive assists the Assistant IT Manager and IT Manager in implementing the periodic review and inventory of installed software and hardware in the resort to ensure we do not violate software proprietary rights. He/she should also assist the Assistant IT Manager and IT Manager in the monitoring of passwords for new hires as well those who have left service to prevent unauthorized use. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards.

\n\nInstall, configure, manage, maintain, test, evaluate, and repair computer networks, workstations, support server system(s), supporting hardware/software, user accounts, and computer/telephone rooms.\nTrain/instruct users in proper use and security of all systems.\nTroubleshoot/repair/resolve technical problems/issues related to computer hardware/software/LAN and WAN/internet.\nRespond to program error messages in a timely manner.\nProvide network communications support and technical guidance. \nRefer major problems to vendors/technicians.\nAnalyze, recommend, and implement process improvements.\nConsult with direct manager to assess/analyze/resolve computing needs and system requirements. \nInspect, test, and diagnose computer equipment/systems.\nPlan and coordinate information technology-related equipment installations, moves, additions, changes, and system enhancements. \nPlan, coordinate, and implement network security measures. \nProvide end-user support for all applications.\nPlan and manage disk space for entire network. \nMaintain accurate inventory of all technological devices.\nEnsure backup tapes are locked in a fireproof safe.\nFollow all company policies and procedures.\nMaintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets. \nAddress guests' service needs and team members with IT related concerns.\nCommunicate using clear and professional language and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.\nDevelop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support team to reach common goals.\nEnsure adherence to quality expectations/standards; identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings.\nEnter and locate information using computers/Point of Sale (POS) systems. \nAssist in preparing user manuals if these are not available from the vendors.\nAssist in preparing training schedules and coordinate closely with user departments to maximize training sessions.\nAssist user departments in conducting training on the various computer applications to be installed in the resort.\nLiaise and study with user departments on defining system specifications for new systems.\nAssist user departments in training newly hired team members and any problems pertaining to computer system operations. \nReport to direct manager any problem areas to ensure these are resolved expeditiously and effectively.\nThe Resort requires that you perform any task deemed necessary by the IT Manager for the efficient running of the IT Department specifically and the Resort in general.\n
