The IT Field Technician will be responsible for providing both on-site and remote support to end users, troubleshooting and resolving IT issues, performing hardware and software installations, and maintaining overall system performance. This position involves daily travel to various locations to ensure the smooth operation of IT infrastructure while also offering remote assistance as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience in hardware and software troubleshooting, network support, and user training, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality technical solutions and customer service.\n
As an IT Field Technician based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with travel to San Antonio and Austin, you will be responsible for providing both on-site and remote technical support, including installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing hardware and software. You will perform regular system maintenance by upgrading systems, installing security updates, and conducting routine system checks. In this role, you will assist in configuring and maintaining network devices, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and ensuring optimal network performance. Utilizing a ticketing system, you will track, document, and resolve IT support requests efficiently while also guiding end users through problem-solving steps and educating them on best IT practices. Maintaining accurate technical documentation for troubleshooting, configurations, and solutions will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will collaborate with IT team members, other departments, and vendors to implement solutions and drive continuous improvements. Ensuring security compliance by updating devices, implementing antivirus protection, and managing access controls is essential. Additionally, you will be responsible for asset management, including tracking IT equipment inventory, replacements, and maintenance schedules. This role requires flexibility, as you may need to provide on-call support after hours or during emergencies to ensure seamless IT operations.\nQualifications\n\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field.\nMinimum 3+ years of experience in IT support, troubleshooting, and network\/system maintenance.\nProficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems.\nExperience with Active Directory, Office 365, and remote desktop support tools.\nKnowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP\/IP, VPNs, Wi-Fi).\nExperience with hardware diagnostics and repair.\nFamiliarity with cybersecurity best practices.\nExcellent attention to detail. \nCapability to multi-task and consistently meet multiple deadlines. \nBe a resourceful technology troubleshooter.\n\nWhy Join Us?\n
