IT Financial Analyst

And under this roof, we protect what matters most. **The IT Financial Analyst has primary responsibility for tracking and reporting the finances of the Information Technology department, execution of administrative items supporting IT Contracting, ongoing education of the IT team on IT Financial processes and handling various IT Employee Experience items. Utilizing core financial, accounting, and analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of IT Costs, the IT Financial Analyst** **will be responsible for analyzing, documenting, reporting, and assisting with the management of technology expenditures, and preparing IT financial reports. The individual will not only be focused on the day-to-day financial activities to run the department and support the IT Contracting needs of the department but also handle various Employee Experience related initiatives. This role will also have various responsibilities related to the annual budgeting process along with researching and analyzing data as needed. This role will collaborate with employees at all levels within IT as well as GAF and Standard Industries finance team members and GAF HR team. This role will also work with external vendor partners in various areas. Responsible for attaining full knowledge of the area, actively contributing to the overall success of the IT Department, active participation in meetings, and regular status updates to management.** **ESSENTIAL DUTIES** **IT Financial Management:** + **Responsible for handling the following duties in support of IT Finance at GAF including:** + **Oversight and guidance in the preparation of monthly reconciliation and updating of IT Expense accounts; reviewing journal entries / expense items and preparing reclass entries as needed.** + **Working with IT leadership team in preparation for monthly reviews - budget reconciliation, forecasting, financial analysis, and reviewing upcoming technology renewals** + **Facilitating monthly IT Financial reviews** + **Lead Year end accrual efforts** + **Lead process improvement efforts** + **Conduct these activities while ensuring that internal and external standards are being met** + **Work on process efficiency and improvement of the monthly close activities** + **Analyzing spend and cause of variances. Detailed analysis of spending to identify opportunities for savings.** + **IT Point of Contact for spend that is paid through Engie** + **Oversee and Manage telecommunication spending.** + **Oversight and facilitation of the** **IT Leasing process** **- tracking leases, lease returns, collaborating with IT team members and leasing company staff.** + **Tracking IT headcount** **and IT open positions throughout the year.** + **Lead role in the** **Annual Budget process** **– research and developing analysis, preparing budget estimates, and finalizing budgets for IT leadership approval.** + **Review and analysis of monthly** **ad-hoc financial reporting** **and special analytical projects as assigned.** **IT Contracting:** + **Support IT contracting needs through execution of** **docusign and purchase requisition requests** **; Creating purchase requisitions - gathering the appropriate information and tracking all requests. Providing guidance to IT team members on execution of the P2P process. Researching vendor payments as needed.** **Employee Experience:** + **Driving engagement with IT’s Link Channel - IT Connect** + **Assist with IT’s early career and intern programs** + **Core member of the IT Employee Input Group** + **Other IT department related duties** **_BREAKDOWN_** **65%** **IT Financial duties:** **Planning, facilitating, and driving IT Financial Management activities. Creating, Documenting processes, assisting IT resources with navigating the financial processes and procedures. Defining and producing Metrics and Reports covering various aspects of IT Finances and all other related IT Financial Management duties.
