Under the direction of the Sr. Finance Manager, completes operational budget and financial analysis to determine opportunities for cost savings, appropriate pacing of initiative spending and proactive cash flow predictions for the senior financial administration of the health system. Incumbent will support the department managers, directors and administrators in budget preparation and will give targeted progress reports on budget performance at regular intervals. Supports the IS department with budget and financial analysis. Has the ability to perform multiple projects, meet deadlines and communicate effectively with department Administrators, Directors, Managers, and staff.
Essential Duties:
Ability to understand and explain complex budget variances; ability to interpret complex financial data.Has responsibility for overall preparation and completeness of all financial reporting, (especially the Monthly Financial Report, Ad Hoc Financial Reports, Financial Dashboards, etc.).Completes complex financial analysis in preparation of the annual IS budget.Ability to work extensively with Microsoft Excel; prepare and distribute charts, graphs, pivots, v-lookups, etc.Maintains and improves various financial models, budget models, maintenance forecast models, etc.Ability to accurately predict and forecast expenses.Ability to understand and interpret and calculate the financial implications of Contracts, SOWs, Quotes, Change Orders, etc.Maintains established hospital and regulatory requirements and records; responsible for maintaining security of information: e.g. salary, staff and legal information in a confidential nature.Provides training and guidance of junior staff, other department staff and personnel across the service line.Other financial tasks and duties and special projects as assigned.Required Qualifications:
Req High school or equivalentReq 2 - 3 years Accounting and/or financial analysis.Req Working knowledge of GAAP.Req Advanced MS Excel.

The hourly rate range for this position is $33.00 - $54.02.
