Licenses or Certifications:No. Notes to Applicants Austin Resource Recovery (ARR) is seeking to hire a candidate that will utilize software to solve practical problems in support of the department’s Business Outreach Team (BOT), specifically with managing the Ordinance Compliance Database and ESRI Survey123 project. Using ESRI ArcPro and Survey123, and FME applications, the candidate will primarily maintain the database and automated workflows as well as providing on-going support, perform updates, and troubleshoot various components of the geodatabase and surveys involved. The candidate will also incorporate, develop, and validate future applications and features, including AGOL dashboards and web content. They will use Experience Builder to create and update the interface, dashboards and web content, if needed. General GIS mapping and design principles, automation (including FME), creativity, and analytical skills will be used to produce unique and innovative GIS solutions for various ARR projects, both current and future.

Designs, implements, and/or performs data management activities such as modifying elements and assigning privileges. Performs programming activities such as design, development, testing, debugging, documentation, and modification of geospatial applications. Analyzes data from various sources to produce data sets, cartographic layouts, and reports in accordance with specifications and standards. Researches and interprets source records and documents. Performs business process analysis, develops alternatives, and makes recommendations. Responds to requests for information from internal and external customers. Assists with the creation, publication, implementation, and improvement of IT policies, governance, standards, and security. Installs new software releases and/or upgrades including researching, testing, and implementing new geospatial technology. Communicates and interfaces with members of the IT, vendor, and user communities.

Ability to produce maps and other representations of geospatial data using geospatial software.
