GENERAL FUNCTION:

Perform research, design, and administration of governance program methodology and process in alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Create and manage policies, standards, and procedures to enable organizational implementation and adherence. Develop and execute training and communication plans to promote organizational understanding and awareness of governance program. Provide oversight, testing, and reporting of organizational adherence to program requirements and standards. Ensure alignment with frameworks, including development and execution of program integrations with partner control functions. Coordinate and lead external examination and regulatory agency reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the development and delivery of the governance program through creation and maintenance of  methodology, processes, and documentation helping to ensure objectives, purpose, and roles, and responsibilities are clearly defined.Lead the analysis, oversight, and reporting of adherence to governance programLead the development and presentation of education and training materialsCollaborate with business partners and stakeholders to continue to evolve and mature the governance programPartner in development and execution of cross-program integrationsParticipate in governance guild to help create an environment of collaboration, co-creation, and open sharing of guidelines and best practices by all SMEs and stakeholdersProvide leadership through cross-training and upskilling of team and stakeholdersUtilize and develop proficiency with governance tool setLead the ongoing maturation and development of the governance tool set by driving the  creation of program requirements for enhancements and new features Keep current with trends and benchmarking in governance practices across industries

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Excellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrate leadership through influence and collaborationCritical thinking and creative problem solving requiredDemonstrate effective coaching and upskilling or peers and business partnersOne or more of the following professional certifications CISA, CRISC, CGEITExperience with industry standards frameworks (e.g. COBIT, NIST, DCAM, ISO, etc…)Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology and/or process improvement (Six Sigma)Act and communicate with discretion and confidentiality when requiredParticipate in internal and external initiatives or discussion groups to monitor and address emerging issues within assigned areas of expertiseAbility to maintain independence and objectivity in execution of oversight and reporting activitiesAbility to understand complex issues, develop meaningful analyses, and assist in the overall remediationProactive individual with a "can do" attitude and a demonstrated track record of successDemonstrate curiosity and initiative to learn, develop skills, seek feedback, and improve existing processes and reportingProficiency with data analytics and reporting tools (SAS, Tableau, Python, etc...)Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office Suite8+ years work experience and/or undergraduate degree preferred
