IT Hardware Deployment Technician Rochester, NY Full Time Information Technology Experienced We are looking forIT Hardware Deployment Technicians(field techs) who will be responsible for the setup, configuration, and installation of computer hardware and IT systems. They will work to deploy hardware equipment across a variety of customer sites, such as offices and data centers. These technicians will play a crucial role in ensuring that IT devices and all associated peripherals are properly installed, tested, and ready for use. This is afull-time, on-site / field position in Rochester, NY. The work hours areMonday-Friday, 8:30a -5:30p Eastern time. Key Responsibilities: + Imaging– Ensuring that any cascaded device is imaged as required according to the manner provided by the customer. + Hardware Installation and Setup: Installing various hardware components such as workstations, laptops, printers, and other peripherals. + Configuration and Testing: Configuring hardware and ensuring it works in the desired environment. This may include updating firmware, loading approved images, and performing diagnostic tests. + Network Configuration:Ensuring hardware is connected to and works correctly within the network. + Troubleshooting and Support: Identifying hardware malfunctions, troubleshooting issues, and providing support for hardware-related concerns. + Inventory Management:Keeping track of hardware inventory and ensuring that equipment is accounted for and properly stored. + Packing up the old devices and bringing them to the designated location for the customer to dispose of. + Process Adherence: Ensuring all provided processes are adhered to. + Collaboration: Working closely with IT teams, including system administrators and network engineers, to ensure hardware integrates seamlessly with the existing infrastructure. Job Requirements: + CompTIA A+ Certification Required. + In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, networking equipment, and operating systems (Windows, Apple, etc.). + Ability to diagnose hardware failures and perform repairs or replacements. + Precision in setting up hardware and configuring systems to avoid errors. + Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff. + Lifting and moving heavy equipment and working in tight spaces. + Driving to different client locations, with a company vehicle.
