Power-Flo Technologies is adding to our IT Help Desk team which provides technical support to our employees both on-site and remotely. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities.
This position is on-site at our corporate HQ in New Hyde Park, NY.
Full-time. Monday - Friday. 7 AM - 4 PM.
This position requires occasional travel for on-site support at our different branches (NY, NJ, CT).
IT Help Desk Specialist Key Responsibilities:
Respond to and resolve IT issues via phone, email, and in personProvide application-level support to users on Epicor Eclipse ERP softwareTroubleshoot hardware, software, and network problemsDebug applications and implement upgradesAssist with equipment setup and software installationsTroubleshoot network connectivity issuesFind replacements for aging hardwareProvide training to end-users on IT systems and best practicesMaintain and update IT documentation and knowledge baseMaintain strict confidentiality regarding all access to individual, corporate information, and corporate intellectual propertyIT Help Desk Specialist Requirements:
1-3 years of IT help desk experienceDegree in IT-related field or equivalent experienceHigh-level knowledge of commonly used software, hardware and applications, preferably Epicor EclipseStrong oral communication skills to gather information from employees and explain complex technical concepts in simple languageDemonstrated written communication skills to create useful support logsAnalytica and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and diagnose issuesAdvanced ability with tools and installation of IT equipment/appliancesTime management skills to provide updates and fixes within a promised time frameMulti-tasking skills to assist multiple employees at onceObservational skills to recognize warning signs that indicate potential problemsAbility to work on-site and travel locally/regionally as neededValid NYS Driver's License to operate company vehiclesPreferred Qualifications:
IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL, Microsoft certifications)Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systemsKnowledge of basic networking and security conceptsPhysical Requirements

Must have clean NYS driver's license to operate company vehicles as needed and to travel to other PFT locations as needed.
Salary: $17 - $21 per hour
