**Description** **Job Title: IT Helpdesk Intern (On-Site)** **Location: Baltimore, MD 21227** **Reports to: IT Manager** **FLSA Status: Part-Time / Non-Exempt** **Work Shift: Monday – Friday / 4-6 hours a day between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Up to 40 hours a week)** **ABOUT US:** The Poole and Kent Corporation is a wholly owned subsidiary of EMCOR Group. Our construction and service (mechanical and electrical) experience includes a broad range of commercial and government projects, including data centers, hospitals, sports stadiums, convention centers, hotels, and research laboratories. **SUMMARY:** We are seeking a motivated IT Helpdesk Intern to join our team and assist in providing technical support and solutions to our employees. This role will primarily focus on configuring new PCs, installing desktop applications, and managing mobile device setups and migrations. The intern will gain hands-on experience in troubleshooting IT issues, supporting software installations, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: + Configure new PCs with operating systems and necessary software applications. + Install and update desktop applications as per user requirements. + Assist in configuring and troubleshooting mobile devices (phones, tablets) for employees. + Manage account setups and migrations for various software and systems. + Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for hardware and software issues. + Collaborate with IT team members to resolve escalated support issues. + Document processes, procedures, and configurations related to IT support tasks. + Perform other duties as assigned by IT Manager **CHARACTERISTICS AND SKILLS** The successful candidate for this role is an individual who demonstrates a high level of service, commitment and execution.
