The IT Infrastructure Manager is responsible for leading the IT infrastructure team, contributing to the overall IT strategy, and achieving business objectives through excellence in IT operations and adoption of emerging/digital technologies best practices. This role will balance the technical hands-on and managerial aspects of IT.
Specific Responsibilities:
*Contributes to development of the IT strategy to maximize the success of the company’s business objectives.
*Provides direction and oversight for the full life cycle of design, development, operation, and support of IT systems infrastructure related technologies such as Active Directory, VDI, Virtual Server VMware, DR/Backups, LAN/WAN, SCCM, and patch management.
*Provides direction on what emerging technologies should be incorporated into infrastructure and security products and services to deliver overall IT strategy successfully.
*Introduces innovative, differentiating infrastructure and operations capabilities that enhance our competitiveness and employee productivity.
*Develops and controls the annual Infrastructure budget and works with Cybersecurity Architect on cyber security budget to ensure that is consistent with the overall strategic objectives of IT and the enterprise and is within the plan.
*Directs the development of an infrastructure strategy and provides executive oversight for strategic vendor and partner relationship management.
*Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics.
*Leads the IT Infrastructure Team and collaborates with the Cybersecurity Architect to oversee security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.
*Collaborates with IT Applications Manager and team to ensure the infrastructure needs of Business Applications are met from an operational and strategic planning standpoint.
*Key member of Cybersecurity Task force that works with team to monitor threat and vulnerability management activities, identify, and communicate risk tolerances, recommended treatment plans, and communication on residual risk.
*Design and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management.
*Leads the IT Infrastructure team in the planning, scheduling, and reporting of both operational and projects. Provides technical mentorship to the team.
*Works with the team and the VP of IT in the Succession Planning, Training/Development, and Talent Management of the Infrastructure team.
*Identify and manage the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and report to senior leadership.
*Manage the analysis of the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs and support through IT staff members.
*Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
*Provide leadership in the oversight of all technology operations and evaluate them according to functionality, efficiency, and established goals.
*Works to develop long term upgrade/replacement plans and budget for Infrastructure at all locations.
