TalentWorld is recruiting an IT Infrastructure Platform Engineer in Mississauga, Ontario for one of our clients.
 
Responsibilities Build and deploy resilient platforms optimized for high availability and disaster recovery. Develop automation scripts and streamline configuration for efficient deployments across environments. Test and monitor platform performance, adjusting for maximum efficiency. Maintain detailed documentation on configurations, procedures, and security protocols. Identify risks and resolve issues to ensure platform stability and reliability. Apply security patches and ensure platforms meet compliance standards. Contribute to platform roadmap development to prepare teams for updates and releases. Provide Tier 3 support, quickly resolving complex technical issues. Coach team members and lead training to develop technical skills. Monitor resource usage and optimize platform performance to support business needs.   Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Engineering, or related field. Certifications Preferred – AWS, Azure, CompTIA Cloud+, or RHCE. 5+ years of platform engineering or infrastructure experience. 3-5 years with tools like Ansible, GitLab, or Jenkins. 3-5 years on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Experience in web application support and CI/CD pipelines. Proficient in Python, Bash, PowerShell. Strong in Linux and Windows. Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases. Familiar with PCI, SOC1/2, and SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk). Strong problem-solving, communication, and team mentoring abilities.
