Job Description:

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated IT INFRASTRUCTURE SME in Support of AFRICOM in Stuttgart Germany to join our dynamic team. Successful candidates must have an active Secret Clearance and must be able to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

The Information Technology Infrastructure SME will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of telecommunications distribution systems. This role requires a deep understanding of structured cabling systems, network infrastructure, and telecommunications standards. The ideal candidate will hold a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification and have extensive experience in ICT design and project management.

How the IT Infrastructure SME will make an impact:

Design and implement telecommunications distribution systems, including structured cabling and network infrastructure.Conduct site surveys to assess current infrastructure and recommend improvements.Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices, including BICSI guidelines.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate telecommunications systems with other IT infrastructure.Manage vendor relationships and oversee the installation and maintenance of telecommunications equipment.Provide technical support and training to IT staff and end-users.Maintain documentation of all telecommunications systems and infrastructure.Candidate is required to perform other additional duties and assignments in support the Contract.Candidate is required to maintain IT Certification up to date.Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety Shoes must be worn on worksite. Employee is required to purchase the PPE and Safety Shoes.

What you'll need to be successful:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification is required.Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCIMinimum of 5 years of experience in information and communications technology (ICT) design.Strong knowledge of telecommunications distribution methods and standards.Experience with project management and client interaction.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Additional certifications such as BICSI Installer or RIT.Experience in designing and managing large-scale structured cabling systems.Familiarity with DoD and government contract requirements.Must be able obtain Level 4 Badge.Travel is Required to Other European Countries.TESA Qualifications Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience, OR; an associate’s degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR; a major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR; 11 years of recent specialized experience.

The likely salary range for this position is $79,747 - $92,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
