Position Description
Trek Bicycle is looking for our next IT Infrastructure - Systems Engineer. This person is detail oriented, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills. They should also have a strong track record of modern systems engineering, infrastructure as code (IAC), and combining cloud-based and traditional data center technologies to deliver a world class experience in a complex enterprise environment. While primarily focused on systems engineering, success in this role also requires ensuring the technology we are delivering continuously evolves to meet our internal customer’s rapidly changing needs and objectives.
Position Responsibilities:
+ Manage, monitor, and maintain all installed systems and infrastructure across the organization, both onsite and remotely, ensuring alignment with company guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
+ Perform server administration tasks, including onsite maintenance at our data centers. This includes researching event-log warnings and errors, and monitoring system resources to ensure that architecture components function together seamlessly.
+ Monitor data center health using existing management tools and perform onsite inspections. Respond promptly to hardware and infrastructure issues as they arise. Assist in building, testing, and maintaining new servers and equipment when required.
+ Conduct routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backups, both onsite and remotely, to ensure data integrity and system reliability.
+ Engage regularly with upper management, providing comprehensive reports on project status, onsite maintenance activities, system health, and overall achievements.
Position Requirements

+ Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, with 4-8 years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure operations.
+ Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
+ Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting and using automation tools.
+ Independent Execution: Ability to work independently, effectively understanding and implementing requirements with minimal supervision.
+ Technical Expertise: Strong experience with VMware, Azure, Terraform, Microsoft Core technologies (AD, DNS, DHCP, Windows), and Linux.
+ Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
