Description We are offering an opportunity for an IT Instructor in Ravenna, Ohio. The role involves teaching high school students about various IT subjects, including networking, programming, and database management. The IT Instructor will work in a school setting and will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive IT lessons. Responsibilities: • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans on IT subjects, including but not limited to, networking, programming with MySQL, and Visual Basic. • Conduct regular assessments to gauge student understanding and adjust teaching methods as necessary. • Provide one-on-one assistance to students struggling with course material. • Stay updated on the latest IT advancements and incorporate them into the curriculum. • Ensure that the classroom remains a safe and supportive learning environment. • Liaise with school administration and parents to report on student progress. • Organize and supervise IT-related school events and projects. • Provide students with career advice in the IT field. • Maintain accurate student records, including grades, attendance, and behavior. • Continuously improve teaching skills and stay updated on the latest IT educational tools and software. Requirements • Proficiency in MySQL is essential for this role • Must have a strong understanding and practical experience with Visual Basic .Net (VB.NET) • Comptia A+ certification is required • Proven experience as an IT Instructor or similar role • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex IT concepts in simple terms • Ability to develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans • Up-to-date knowledge of new systems, information, software, and upgrades • Ability to evaluate and assess student's performance • Strong problem-solving skills and patience when assisting students • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field is preferred.
