The ideal candidate will be an experienced Business Analyst proficient in researching technology solutions that best meet customer needs. They will have in-depth experience conducting market research and identifying technology solutions that drive innovation, automation, and meet cloud-first priorities when possible. They will have experience working with end users to ensure they are receiving solutions that meet their needs and align with the agency’s mission.
We are currently looking for an Information Technology Intake Analyst to join our team who can leverage their hands-on experience and success to:
· Manage and track requests for IT solutions from the business
· Meet with customers/stakeholders to understand their business need and be able to capture requirements
· Ensure that requests are processed in a timely and efficient manner to drive continuous progress in the intake lifecycle
· Work closely with technical and cybersecurity-focused teams to review, prioritize, and approve requests
· Minimize processing time for requests and ensure the customer is continuously aware of the progress and state of their request
· Understand the business and its mission to better meet the needs of the customers
· Understand the IT services and capabilities offered as solutions to best support customers’ requirements while also avoiding duplication of efforts
· Create and maintain tracking and reporting mechanisms for intake requests
· Conduct market research and AoA (Analysis of Alternatives) exercises on technical solutions and major platforms, as needed
· Assess situations and make prudent and appropriate decisions, apply conflict resolution, problem-solving skills, and interpret and draw valid conclusions from data
· Develop key relationships and influence across the IT services ecosystem
· Have general knowledge of technologies and terminology such as Cloud and On-Prem
· Have general knowledge of federal IT regulations (FedRamp, FITARA, etc.)
· Prioritize tasks while ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner and customers are updated and notified of request statuses
· Ability to lead meetings with vendors, customers, and other IT teams
· Ability to compile and run reports to provide updates to management on status of requests
· Ability to multitask
Additionally, the ideal candidate can:
· Communicate with all levels of management including customer executives (i.e., interpersonal skills, approachability, effective listening skills, appropriate use of style and language for the audience)
· Utilize their experience with planning tools to estimate the time and effort of tasks to support work planning
· Tailor technical and planning information to a customer’s level of understanding
· Keep up to date on new technology solutions to leverage for the client
Required Qualifications
· US Citizenship
· Ability to pass a federal background check successfully and maintain eligibility for continued access authorizations, including periodic drug screenings, granted by such a successful background check
· Bachelor’s degree
· 1 to 3 years of experience supporting similar requirements and delivering in a similar capacity
· Ability to work independently, be a self-starter, and able to operate in a proactive way
· Excellent oral and written communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; logical thinker and intellectual curiosity
Desired Qualifications
· Detail-oriented and organized
· Experience taking accurate and concise meeting notes
· Experience with monitoring and tracking open action items to ensure regular follow ups are occurring
Clearance
