The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies.  Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes.  IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

 

Scope of Position:

In this position you will provide digital solutions for the data analytics and data office arm of the OCDIO. The primary objective is to develop digital solutions for the data analytics and data office arm of the OCDIO. This role will collaborate with IT service lines to provide stakeholders with timely access to reliable performance metrics and IT data analytics that can be used to manage day-to-day performance, drive strategic decisions and improve the overall quality of IT products and services.

Responsibilities:

Provide digital solutions for proactive data quality. Proactively push notifications for service commitment for AOP metrics for data analytics. Work with chatbot technology to drive new efficiencies. Develop reports and dashboard from multiple source systems to manage day-to-day and future operations. Coordinate with IT service lines and business engagement teams to understand reporting and data needs to expand and improve the IT Data Lake

 

Education and Experience:

Enrolled in Bachelor’s degree program in Management Information Systems or Computer Science Relevant experience a plus

 

Requirements:

Experience with Python Experience with Data & analytics (excel, power bi, datalake technologies) Good Communication Skills Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2025 (May-August 2025) with a graduation date of December 2025 or later Be interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity. ​The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly.  Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
