Cycle preparation to include set-up of jobs and submission of file inputs for upcoming batch runsExecute jobs for batch processing and monitor to completion.Troubleshoot/triage abends or job failures and work closely with AD/Prod support/Test teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolutionDisabling servers on requirement basisTier2/Tier3 fault management includes running jobs, restarting librariesInforming programmer for new job insertionRunning script using ZekeScheduling Jobs through ZekeTicket creation and assignment using SDMContention resolving using consolesWell-developed problem-solving ability and critical thinking skills. Strong desire to learn and develop additional skills and expertise over time.Experience with establishing and documenting process and procedures pertaining to role and responsibilitiesAbility to mentor team membersSolid understanding of documentation and production support activities and creating documentation based on the requirements and getting sign off from clientSolid communication and interpersonal skillsPerform system and batch monitoring on mainframe platformExecute job abend / job failure recovery per RunbooksExecute daily/ weekly/ monthly tasks per checklistRespond quickly and effectively to issues, requests, phone callsExecute batch throughput and system health to meet SLAs (Service Level Agreements)Analyze problems and select proper corrective action.Minimum years of experience: 5+
