Summary Statement
Seeking a detail-oriented candidate with an interest in IT logistics, asset management, and equipment coordination. This role assists the asset management team by receiving and unpacking tech-related equipment and supplies and ensuring IT hardware is ready for deployment. Responsibilities include supplying invoices from vendors, conducting weekly inventory counts, and delivering equipment to field technicians as needed. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain seamless IT operations while ensuring accurate records and efficient support in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
IT Logistics Assistant assists the set management team with coordinating equipment deliveries. receives and unpacks parcels, completes relevant documentation, and dispatches equipment and supplies. Work is performed under general supervision.
Essential Functions

Inventory and Equipment Management :
+ Conduct weekly inventory counts and monitor supply levels to ensure sufficient stock of IT hardware for deployment.
+ Manage vendor invoicing and maintain accurate records of asset transactions.
+ Receive, inspect, and document deliveries to ensure accuracy and compliance with purchase orders.
+ Unpack, organize, and store items properly, ensuring careful handling of fragile equipment.
+ Document and track inventory movements, including deployment and returns.
Equipment Delivery and General Support :
+ Prepare and deliver equipment and supplies to field technicians across the city.
+ Coordinate schedules to ensure timely dispatch of equipment and supplies.
+ Assist in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized facility.
+ Provide support to other IT operations as needed and report any discrepancies or damages promptly.

Requirements
Required Knowledge, Experience, And Training
High school diploma and or equivalent, and prior experience as a logistics assistant.
Individuals must be capable of operating vehicles safely and have an acceptable driving record.
Knowledge of:
+ Basic IT hardware and equipment, including familiarity with terms and usage.
+ Vendor management processes and invoicing procedures.
+ Logistics, inventory management, and IT asset handling best practices.
Ability to:
+ Maintain accurate records and label IT hardware in preparation for deployment and tracking.
+ Safely handle and maneuver heavy and fragile IT equipment and supplies, ensuring items are stored appropriately.
+ Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with team members and vendors.
+ Work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines under general supervision.
+ Recommend process improvements to enhance logistics and inventory management efficiency
Preferred Knowledge, Experience, And Training
Enrollment or pursuing studies in Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration
One year of experience in logistics or asset management
Experience with delivery or ride-share driving services
Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics ESM or similar enterprise service management toolsLicensing And Other Requirements
Valid state-issued driver's license

Applicants must be able to pass:City of Boise background check processes which includes a criminal history check and reference checks in accordance with the City of Boise Hiring Process Regulation
Driving Record Check
Criminal Justice Information System background check (CJIS)

Physical Efforts
While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds. Also, the employee is occasionally pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds. Work includes sensory ability to talk, hear and touch. Work in this position also includes close vision and distance vision. Employees will sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach and grasp. Position requires hand/finger dexterity.
Working Environment
The work environment will include inside conditions. Employees are exposed to electrical hazards. Employees will also drive a vehicle as part of this position.
This position works: on-call during weekends
19-Hour Temporary
All temporary part-time employees working less than an average of 19-hours per week are not currently eligible for benefits.
4-Month Temporary
All 4-month temporary employees working an average of 40-hours per week will accrue personal leave which can be used during employment.
8-Month Seasonal
In addition to accruing personal leave, anyone in an 8-month seasonal position working over an average of 30-hours per week is eligible for medical coverage.
9-Month Temporary
In addition to personal leave accrual and medical coverage, a position that is classified as a 9-month temporary is eligible for PERSI retirement benefits.
