Salary: £60,000 per annum
Work Arrangement: Full-time, on-site (5 days per week, potential to move to 4 days)
My client is seeking a talented and proactive IT Manager to oversee the day-to-day IT operations at their London office, with oversight of their Milan office systems. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional with strong IT knowledge across Mac and PC environments, who can also demonstrate leadership in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in IT management, ideally within a production environment (eCommerce and post-production preferred), with a deep understanding of IT work-flows to ensure seamless, crisis-free operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operational Leadership: Oversee the daily running of the IT department, providing on-site support and crisis management as needed.
* Onboarding & Training: Ensure effective on boarding for new hires, including comprehensive IT training.
* Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with internal teams and external vendors, delivering first-class IT service.
* Policy & Compliance: Maintain and update IT policies, procedures, and ensure all IT items are PAT tested and compliant.
* Workstation Assessments: Conduct DSE assessments for workstations (training provided).
* Equipment Management: Plan, procure, and manage IT equipment and services within budget.
* Budget Oversight: Develop and maintain the IT budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities while driving operational efficiency.
* Vendor Contracts: Manage IT third-party contracts and vendor relationships, ensuring competitive rates and service quality.
* Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records and replacement schedules.
* Server & Cloud Management: Configure and manage servers, hardware, peripherals, storage, and cloud services for optimal performance and cost efficiency.
* Documentation: Maintain thorough and up-to-date IT documentation.
Required Skills & Capabilities:
* Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar IT role.
* Customer Focus: Demonstrated ability to provide excellent service and maintain strong client relationships.
* Proactive & Adaptable: A hands-on, solution-oriented approach with adaptability to change.
* Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and ability to meet tight deadlines.
* Calm Under Pressure: Exceptional problem-solving and prioritisation skills, even in high-pressure scenarios.
Preferred Technology Skills & Experience:
* Experience in production environments.
* Networking expertise (firewalls, switches, WiFi management).
* Proficiency in cloud services (Azure).
* Windows Server and Windows 10 management.
* Apple hardware and OSX expertise (90% Mac environment).
* ERP systems knowledge.
* Office 365 administration.
* Adobe Suite.
* Video conferencing systems (Teams & Zoom).
