IT Manager

The IT Manager directs and coordinates development and production activities of information systems department. Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interprets an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deals with several abstract and concrete variables. Interacts with customers, members, vendors, other outside companies, associates and management. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Detailed Responsibilities:
Supervises associates to include, but not limited to staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution.
Consults with managerial personnel to identify problems, suggest changes, and determine extent of resources required. Consults with management to determine information requirements of management, to determine boundaries and priorities of new and existing projects, and to discuss system capacity and equipment acquisitions.
Reviews project feasibility studies and establishes work standards. Collaborates with software providers and other users to research, evaluate and develop new and existing technology that may need implemented.
Participates in technical projects such as determining equipment specifications and developing requirements for specified applications.
Manages Information Technology department purchases, expenses, contracts, and maintenance agreements.
Network equipment troubleshooting – MDFs, IDFs, Access Points, patch panels Reviews system access requests for SOX compliance. Reviews changes to Foodstar ERP system and communicates process changes or program enhancements. Creates business case for Proposed Foodstar enhancements.
Create and maintain standardized reporting within the region. Work with regional leadership to analyze business needs and implement solutions to attain our business goals.
Creates requests for new or maintenance to existing EDI interfaces.
Confers with management to evaluate and promote and improve services.
Formulates and effectuates company policy with respect to information system functions by managing and using independent judgment and discretion.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
