Job Title: IT Manager
Department: Information Technology
Summary Responsible for the supervision, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s computing and network infrastructure. Coordinates IT Projects from development to implementation and acts as a technical liaison between IT and company operations.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises employees in the Lansing IT Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
+ Managing IT staff by training employees, communicating job expectations, and monitoring performance at various locations.
+ Monitor daily operations, including server hardware, software, and operating systems.
+ Coordinating Technology installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
+ Assuring all IT duties are performed accurately.
+ Remaining up to date with advances in technology and industry best practices.
+ Testing, troubleshooting, and modifying information systems so that they operate effectively.
+ Generate and maintain key performance indicators for all systems.
+ Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
+ Preserve assets, information security and control structures.
+ Conducting regular system and security audits.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) or equivalent and five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
