SUMMARY We are seeking a passionate and experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers in developing cutting-edge Generative AI solutions for AutoZone. You will drive the development of RAG, Conversational Commerce, Voice bot and other generative AI solutions to streamline, automate, and optimize business operations. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and a passion for solving complex problems through innovation. What You Will Do: + Lead and drive the design, architecture, and implementation of Generative AI products, driving the successful launch of the first version to market and ensuring its alignment with the company's goals and vision. + Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of AI engineers. Provide technical guidance and career mentorship. + Roll up your sleeves and dive into coding when needed—whether to guide the team, validate an approach, or prove your point of view. + Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging AI to improve business processes. + Collaborate cross functionally to deploy AI solutions and monitor outcomes. + Maintain strong knowledge of the latest developments in LLM capabilities and implementation patterns What We Look For: + Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. + 6+ years of technical experience with a strong focus on Information Retrieval, NLP & NLU, Machine Learning and Deep Neural Networks. + 6+ years experience working with cloud technologies, preferably GCP. + 3+ years of experience developing, coaching, and managing engineers. + Demonstrated experience in recruiting and managing technical teams, including performance management + Used LLM beyond hobbies. Had experience in Prompt engineering, advanced RAG approaches, and model fine-tuning. + Excellent programming skills with two or more of the following languages – Python, Java, TypeScript/Node. + Exceptional multitasking in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and changing requirements + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with an unwavering attention to detail. + Passionate about using AI to solve real-world problems and create delightful user interfaces. + A strong advocate of clean code Benefits at AutoZone AutoZone cares about people.
