About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled IT Manager to join our dynamic team at our manufacturing facility in Steele Creek, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing IT infrastructure, systems, and teams, and will be responsible for overseeing our on-premises and cloud environments. This role requires hands-on experience with a variety of technologies and the ability to lead and develop a team of IT professionals.
Key Responsibilities: Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain on-premises servers, Azure cloud environment, Active Directory/Group Policy, VMware, and L2 switches/routers. Network Configuration: Set up and configure VLANs to ensure efficient and secure network segmentation. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of four direct reports, including one help desk technician, one system administrator, and two .NET developers. Project Management: Lead IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring that timelines and budgets are met. Security: Implement and monitor security protocols to protect company data and IT infrastructure. Support: Provide high-level technical support and troubleshooting for IT-related issues across the company. Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors for hardware and software procurement, support, and maintenance. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and configurations. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management, with a strong background in infrastructure and network management. Technical Skills: Proficient in on-premises and Azure cloud environments. Strong knowledge of Active Directory/Group Policy. Extensive experience with VMware. Proficient in configuring and managing L2 switches and routers. Experience in setting up and configuring VLANs. Leadership Skills: Proven experience in managing and developing IT teams. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Certifications: Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, VMware Certified Professional) are a plus.
