IT Network Architecture Engineer (CCNP Certification)
**Job Description** The Senior Network Engineer's primary duties include operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting very complex IT networks. Will assist government users in system problem diagnosis and troubleshooting, collection of problem information, and recommendation of fixes. Participates in the daily activities of configuration and operation of customer IT networked systems. Provides quality assurance and operational reporting requirements. Will configure and test new technology, enhance current systems, and pioneer technology for new systems, work with cable fabrication, and troubleshoot communication lines and equipment. This position is located in Washington DC. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Washington DC or surrounding areas. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** High school diploma and a minimum of 12 years of direct experience with telecommunications, integration design, installation and support Clearance background investigation must have been adjudicated within the past three years Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification Security certifications in accordance with DOD 8570 instruction Experience with Wide Area Networks Routing and switching experience IP network experience BoIP and VoIP experience **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** Experience using test equipment: O-scope, Fireberd, transmission test sets Capable of systems analysis with highly complex technologies Familiarity with patch panels Knowledge of telecommunications fundamentals Ability to be self-reliant Capability to perform essential technical maintenance activities without direct supervision Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to professionally interact with high level military officers and civilian officials on a daily basis Quality assurance experience with both new and upgraded telecommunications systems Trainer / training experience Positive service oriented attitude Military experience / knowledge of customs and courtesies Experience with larger enterprise IP networks and related networking equipment Knowledge of DoD policies and procedures with regard to the installation, configuration, and management of Cisco IP Systems Network certifications in accordance with DOD 8570 instruction Experience with the development and presentation of briefings Microsoft certification - MCSA, MCP, MCS **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $126610 - $215270 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
