The General Education IT/Networking Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in IT and networking to students, ensuring they gain the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the field. The teacher will create a dynamic learning environment that fosters student engagement and achievement.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum in IT and networking that meets educational standards and prepares students for industry certifications and careers. Deliver engaging and effective instruction to students, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and technologies to accommodate different learning styles. Assess student performance through assignments, projects, and exams, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements in IT and networking to ensure the curriculum remains relevant and current. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. Collaborate with colleagues and school administration to support the overall educational goals of the district. Provide guidance and support to students in their academic and career planning, including advising on further education and job opportunities. Ensure compliance with all district policies and procedures, including maintaining accurate records of student attendance and performance. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.Qualifications:
Must hold the required license: #1220 (Technology Education). Strong knowledge of IT and networking concepts, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment. Commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth.
