IT Operations Analyst

Marsh is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Mexico City office and be onsite 3 days a week:

Corporate Information Solutions is a technology-focused team that is responsible for delivering technology solutions, driving innovation, and supporting end users in the MMC’s Corporate applications suite. 

This position will work closely with Project Managers and Support Groups to ensure alignment of project related details to the overall IT budget/forecast/schedules and compliance with overall IT and Finance policies and Project and Portfolio Management procedures.

This role will partner with the technology programs within CIS in support of producing and reporting monthly accurate project performance results, monthly forecasting, annual budget preparation, and analyzing / identifying key variance drivers.

The Operations Analyst role performs a wide variety of tasks in collaboration with Project Managers and the individual Programs of work. 

Although reporting to the Operations Senior Manager, this role regularly interacts with CIS Senior Leadership and other members in a concerted effort to deliver best in class support.

We will count on you to:

Lead and manage technical data projects using Agile methodologies, from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project goals, objectives, and deliverables.Develop and maintain Agile project plans, including sprint backlogs, user stories, and task boards.Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams, including data analysts, engineers, developers, and stakeholders, to ensure effective project execution.Define project scope, objectives, and requirements, and ensure alignment with business goals and strategies.Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, and develop contingency plans as needed.Monitor project progress using Agile metrics, track key performance indicators, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.Manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking, and reporting.Ensure compliance with data governance policies, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.Regularly solicit feedback from stakeholders, product owner, and project team members to ensure continuous improvement, sharing that feedback openly with your supporting pod lead and squad peers to create cross-project improvement opportunitiesFoster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting effective communication, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement through Agile practices.Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data management, project management, and Agile methodologies.

What you need to have:

5+ years’ experience as a Technical Data Project Manager or similar role, with a track record of successfully delivering complex data projects using Agile methodologies.3+ years’ prior experience with data management, data infrastructure, data governance, data quality, data security, or a combination.Strong knowledge of data management principles, methodologies, and tools.Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.Proficiency in Agile project management methodologies, and Agile project management software (ADO, JIRA, etc.)Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional Agile teams.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple Agile projects simultaneously.

What makes you stand out?

Data domain expertise in one or more areas: US healthcare, International healthcare, benefits management, talent and rewards, and/or HR consulting services.Project management certification (e.g., PMP) and Agile certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster) are preferred.Master’s degree in information technology, business, or a related fieldFamiliarity with data visualization tools and techniques is a plus.Direct report people management experienceData strategy facilitation experience
