This position is responsible for the complete lifecycle management of plant IT infrastructure, including local, global, and plant floor applications. This includes the addition, support, configuration, implementation, maintenance, and decommissioning of these systems, along with providing end-user support to office, industrial, and executive staff. The role requires a strong focus on maintaining 100% system uptime and maximizing production efficiency.
Must Have Skills:
Technology Adoption & Implementation: Proven ability to successfully research, select, implement, and integrate new technologies into existing systems and workflows. This includes assessing compatibility, managing risks, and providing training and support to users. Experience with Advance Manufacturing, Machine Learning, Artificial intelligence is a plus.Incident Management: Ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve IT incidents affecting both IT and industrial devices, regardless of the source (users, internal teams, or external factors). This includes restoring functionality and implementing preventative measures.Process Improvement & Root Cause Analysis: Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve problems, implement process improvements, and prevent recurrence. Experience using quality standards and metrics to track performance and plan future improvements is essential.Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: A highly motivated, self-directed individual with excellent problem-solving skills, strong negotiation abilities, and the capacity to make sound, fact-based decisions, especially under pressure.Leadership & Teamwork: Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating professionalism and maturity. Proven ability to lead, coordinate, and delegate effectively within teams, especially in high-pressure situations. Experience managing and mentoring international teams is highly valued.Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, adaptable to various audiences (direct reports, peers, upper management). Ability to lead and communicate effectively with international teams via email and voice calls to address global issues.Technical & Analytical Skills: Proficiency in using Microsoft Office 365 (including Project, SharePoint, and Visio) and data analytics tools (e.g., Minitab, Alteryx, QlikView, Power BI). Ability to verify and validate solutions, services, and products against acceptance criteria, using analytical and technical reasoning. Experience interpreting architectural drawings and business flow diagrams is required.Essential Skills:
Programming: Solid programming skills in at least one language (Python, Java, C++, or similar), demonstrated through experience improving software quality, making minor enhancements, or contributing to development projects. Examples of relevant projects are highly valued.Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC): Good understanding of the SDLC, including requirements, design, testing, and deployment, with experience in Agile or Waterfall methodologies. The ability to articulate contributions in each SDLC phase is essential.Quality Assurance/Improvement: Experience applying quality methodologies (Six Sigma, 8D, Kaizen, 5S) and defining/tracking relevant KPIs to improve software quality and process efficiency. Specific examples are appreciated.Cloud Computing: Practical experience with a major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP), including familiarity with cloud services, infrastructure, and deployment. Specific examples of cloud projects are helpful.Databases: Experience with relational databases (MSSQL, MySQL), including SQL querying and data manipulation; basic database design knowledge is beneficial.Requires 3-5 years of experience in IT, with a strong preference for candidates with experience supporting plant floor applications and industrial automation systems within a manufacturing setting.
Highly Desirable Skills:
Machine Learning/AI: Experience with ML/AI techniques, libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch), and potentially MQTT or IIoT technologies. Examples of ML/AI projects are helpful.Industrial Automation: Experience with PLCs and industrial automation systems, including programming (e.g., Ladder Logic) and integration.Web Development: Experience with HTML5, CSS, JavaScript frameworks, and REST APIs; experience building and maintaining web applications is a plus.
Education Preference:
BS/BA degrees in IT or Electronics, a plus is presenting Certifications of Technologies from leading suppliers and/or products: Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Cisco, to name a few.
Other Information:
Position requires the ability to work a flexible work schedule, including weekends, with monthly shift rotation to fit schedules across 24 hrs. and/or 3 shifts of production, Monday through Sunday.

Plant Floor Application Support: Provide immediate response and troubleshooting for production-related issues with plant floor applications, focusing on system efficiency, process optimization, and maximizing production volume while minimizing downtime and waste.System Uptime & Preventative Maintenance: Ensure 100% productive system operation with zero downtime. Proactively identify and address potential system failures to maintain continuous production flow (FTT). Perform daily and weekly system checks to identify and prevent incidents.System Compliance & Configuration: Maintain and configure plant floor systems to meet corporate, local, and ISP policies and standards.New Technology Implementation: Provide support and assistance during new system implementations and upgrades to maintain alignment with current manufacturing technologies.Production Reporting & Coordination: Generate and distribute daily production reports in coordination with the Vehicle Scheduling team, ensuring timely completion at the end of each shift.Process Improvement & Documentation: Develop, maintain, and update work procedures, checklists, MFM work orders, and response plans. This includes managing spare parts ordering and warehouse IT inventory.System Maintenance & Cost Optimization: Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of system components to ensure efficient workflow, prevent issues during weekly startups, and extend equipment lifespan. Identify opportunities to reduce costs through the implementation of specialized local support solutions.
