IT Portfolio Architect, Gas Field Technologies (Hybrid)
This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.
Our Team:
Responsible for leading the overall information technology architecture planning; including infrastructure strategy, architectural direction, technology standards and guidelines to achieve the business outcomes desired as part of that vision. This position will also work with the broader IT organization and business units, including the IT and business leaders, to determine ways that Eversource can leverage technology to enhance business objectives and improve the customer experience.
This role can sit out of our Berlin, CT or Westwood, MA office.
Essential Functions:
Builds and grows talent in the solution architecture discipline, in addition to leading highly technical teams that can achieve desired business outcomesChampions the value of architecture and communicates across the organization to foster better linkage between application development and the infrastructure organization.Manages portfolio IT roadmaps, designs, and guides technology direction within a portfolio of applications that are aligned with business Roadmaps.Collaborates with other architects on strategy alignment across portfolios and enterpriseWorks on highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments.Onboards and manages members of the team including the design and modeling of solutions, component identification and acquisition, quality review, and development of guidelines and procedures.Analyzes the current architecture to identify weaknesses, risks and to develop opportunities for improvements such as expanding capacity, reducing time and cost, and increasing effectiveness and resiliency.Assists Enterprise Architecture in developing and communicating architectural policies and standards for the enterprise.Develops materials and presents on current and future architecture trends and their impact on the enterprise.Coordinates with the PMO, Portfolio Managers, and Product Centers on planning upcoming projects and work.Supports the portfolio and assists on complex troubleshooting that span solutions in the portfolio.Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Strong business acumen, big-picture thinking, experienced working with leadership and leading a teamSAFe Agile planning and work methodologiesTest and/or Behavior driven development planning within an Agile contextWorking knowledge of CICD pipeline-based delivery mechanismsMicrosoft Azure Experience preferred.Experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques.Track record of leading and delivering cost effective solutions.Experience in managing all aspects of vendor relationship including vendor performance and SLA adherence.Education:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, related degree or equivalent work experienceExperience:
