IT Portfolio Strategy Associate

Our Client, a Software company, is looking for an IT Portfolio Strategy Associate for their Newark, CA/Hybrid location. Responsibilities:
+ Partner with teams across the organization to ensure that IT projects and programs are executed seamlessly and align with the company’s strategic vision.
+ Support the development and implementation of IT portfolio management processes to ensure projects align with company goals.
+ Assist with tracking and reporting on the performance of IT projects and programs.
+ Help evaluate and prioritize project proposals to make sure they fit within the company’s objectives and resource availability.
+ Monitor project timelines and scope to ensure successful delivery.
+ Help identify and assess risks within the IT portfolio and assist in creating mitigation strategies.
+ Collaborate with program managers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of IT initiatives.
+ Support the tracking and allocation of resources across projects to ensure efficiency.
+ Assist with creating reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership.
+ Contribute to continuous improvement of portfolio management processes through feedback and process reviews
Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
+ Ability to simplify complex processes or concepts to an audience unfamiliar with the topic at hand.
+ High levels of organization and attention to detail
+ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information clearly.
+ 0 to 2 years of experience in Project or Program Management or a related role
+ Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or similar.
+ Basic understanding of IT project lifecycle and software development processes.
+ Experience with project management software and tools is a plus.
+ Ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively with various teams.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ A desire to learn and grow in IT portfolio management
+ IT Program Management
+ Manage all program/projects throughout the organization
+ Building PM team
+ Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm:
+ Managing entire portfolio “health” and execute priority items.
+ Partner with teams across the organization to ensure that IT projects and programs are executed seamlessly and align with the company’s strategic vision.

+ Years of Experience Required: 0-2 years
+ Degrees or certifications required: BA

+ Provide visibility, transparency, deliver to stakeholders. Effective communication and education of audience
+ PowerPoint proficiency a MUST
+ Clarity or similar PM tool experience
+ Smartsheet experience
