IT Procurement Manager

Job Responsibility:
Responsible for the daily management of global software, This position applies an in depth understanding of software license models and IT Asset Management (ITAM) best practices to monitor and support corporate compliance of software standards, licenses, T&Cs compliance, and optimization for all locations globally. This position reviews software requests and applies knowledge to analyze requirements and make recommendations for best fit licensure based on industry trends and roadmaps.
Duties:
- Contributes to effective service delivery of software services in ServiceNow.
- Monitors effective license positions and ensure adherence to vendor terms and conditions of use.
- Identify and action opportunities for license reclamation and optimization.
- Leverage tools to automate the collection of software information (install & usage) to simplify current processes and provide more focused, exception reporting.
- Review software license requests prior to implementation to determine if reuse or the procurement of new licensing is required.
- Review software license reporting with business representatives and assist in the overall understanding of the licensing model and allowed usage (as required).
- Report generation and user validation related to software contract renewals.
- Gather, organize, and analyze software usage trend data to determine maintenance/support requirements and coordinate with business lines to effectively determine strategy for acquisition/renewal of maintenance support program enrollments.
- Support external software audit activities including readiness assessment, vendor coordination, data analysis, remediation, and communication as required
- Maintains software asset database to track software entitlements, allocations, and related contract details.

Skills: 5+ years' experience.
Certifications in SAM, ITAM, ITIL, ITSM preferred.

- Software Industry nomenclature proficiencies
- Software Asset Management best practices
- General knowledge of commercial terms and conditions
