IT Product Manager
Job Description

Advance Stores Company, Incorporated is seeking a Manager, IT Product Management reporting to its Raleigh, NC location.

Job Description: Play a critical role working closely with business units and across the Information Technology organization, defining, delivering, and supporting IT business solutions and supporting roadmaps. Evaluate and translate end user needs and problems to technical associates and/or vendors where appropriate. Understand business implications of technical solutions and assist in defining and documenting technology solutions to support any future business needs. Define limitations with current landscape and prioritize the replacement roadmap to ensure business continuity and maximum business value. Utilize knowledge of AS400 environment and replenishment systems and their use of common integration points with Accounting, Warehouse Management Systems, POS, and legacy tools used, including UC4 and FTP to develop customer requirements into technical solutions. Oversee creation, review, and delivery of end-user documentation (user guide, process flow charts, and training materials) and training for accuracy. Work with users to select or create appropriate scenarios to test all results to determine whether system changes met project specifications. Provide expert input on processes, procedures, or new approaches. Act as a technical expert in more than one business application, primarily in replenishment areas using BY ASR/AWR, A-DIS, and Exploris. Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Leverage experience working with, managing, and directing third-party providers and off-shore teams. Multi-task and work on various applications and business problems that are highly complex, diverse, and include multiple applications, multiple IT segments, contractors, global rollout, new technologies, and new architectures. Position allows for telecommuting from home from anywhere within the United States.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related software development field of study and seven (7) years of experience in IT software development in any occupational title. Foreign degree equivalent accepted. The position requires three (3) years of experience with the following skills: project management and integrating multiple systems with AON and supporting Omnitrac’s SmartDrive Video system. The position requires five (5) years of experience with the following skills: system development methodology and project management; commonly used software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc); business systems process knowledge across the supply chain and retail processes; integrating new supply chain solutions to legacy systems, using IBM AS400 or iSeries platform and applications (Blue Yonder ASR/AWR and Epicor A-DIS); AS400 environment and replenishment systems; integrating Oracle Accounting/Financials, High Jump/Exeter/Red Prairie Warehouse Management Systems, Clarion/APAL, and Exploris POS; legacy tools (RPG, Hawkeye, UC4, Broker, and FTP); Ecommerce supporting parcel shipments using Kewill and custom solutions; using international shipping solution and shipping export declaration process; and Red Prairie LMS system and supporting in-market retail store transportation solutions.
