IT Production and Quality Leader
Job Description SummaryAt Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Business unit, we’ve been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.

As IT Production and Quality Leader, you will be responsible to establish and execute the strategic roadmap for digital products supporting Avio Aero Supply Chain partnering with key stakeholders to align IT solutions to Business objectives.
This role involves managing IT systems and infrastructure that support Supply Chain processes, ensuring data integrity, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

Be the reference point for Supply Chain Stakeholders (with a specific focus on Production and Quality), build trustworthy relationships with them, work to ensure alignment of the digital solutions with the overall strategy and key Business processes requirements

Develop and implement IT strategies that support Production and Quality goals partnering with the Leadership and Business teams

Closely collaborate with Supply Chain teams to understand their needs, provide appropriate IT solutions, identify opportunities for process optimization to enhance production efficiency and product quality and ensure IT initiatives support their objectives

Bring expertise and coordinate team resources and budget to lead project activities with specific focus on Production and Quality management

Coach/mentor team resources promoting and sustaining their growth and development and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration

Be proactive in exploring alternate technology and be able to make technology choices based on experience and impact analysis

Ensure IT systems and infrastructure are aligned with Business objectives, industry standards and regulatory requirements

Be accountable for IT operational excellence and ensure compliance to GE Aerospace standards and practices

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering

Demonstrated and strong process/domain expertise of Supply Chain processes with good understanding of production and quality processes and requirements

Strong experience in IT Leadership roles

Established project management and organizational abilities with strong knowledge of the IT application development lifecycle and IT best practices

Strong Customer orientation, problem-solving skills and continuous improvement attitude

Expertise with ERP/SAP (PP, QM, MM, PM modules) and Manufacturing Execution Systems platforms

Expertise with operating in a complex environment (multi-business, extended teams distributed across multiple geographies)

Ability to navigate through ambiguity

Fluent Italian and good English knowledge (written and spoken)

Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required

Desired characteristics

PMP certification

ITIL certification

Competencies in Agile and Scrum methodologies

Able to use Lean and 6 sigma tools and drive change

Strong oral and written communication skills

Proven analytical and problem resolution skills
