We are seeking a second shift end (3:00pm - 11:00pm) user desktop support individual who is enthusiastic about PC technology, features, and functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support for a large number of devices deployed on our manufacturing shop floor. A significant portion of your time will be spent on the shop floor interacting with end users, supporting deskside issues, and deploying updates and new features and functions.
You will make an impact by:
Ensuring all Siemens IT directed projects are successfully deployed without interrupting production. Ensuring all IT devices are compliant with Information Security and Cyber Security guidelines. Assisting end users with resolving technical issues. Imaging computers utilizing images provided by Siemens IT. Serving as the first point of contact for all shopfloor related technology issues.You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
A two-year technical degree is preferred, although a combination of education (HS Diploma or GED equivalency is a minimum requirement) and 3-5 years’ experience supporting an enterprise-wide Microsoft environment will be considered. Preferred Certifications: Microsoft (Modern Desktop Administrator) and/or CompTIA (IT Fundamentals and/or A+) Working knowledge of TCP/IP, Routing, DNS, NAT, etc. Experience building and deploying PC images Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Visio, Power Point) Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.Preferred Qualifications:
Candidate is expected to manage his/her time and clearly show incidents are being managed. Physical labor is frequently required (e.g., carry PCs, access cables or equipment under a table, frequent trips to shop floor, ride in lift, etc.)You’ll benefit from:
