IT Programmer Analyst – Aerospace & Defense

The ideal candidate is a highly skilled professional with a minimum of 2–4 years of PHP programming experience and at least 5 years of overall programmer analyst experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience, is required. The candidate should demonstrate proficiency in key programming languages like PHP, VB.NET, JavaScript, and SQL Server, as well as knowledge of ERP systems and AS400 – iSeries Operating Systems. The company is interviewing as soon as this week, so I will be in touch ASAP! **Summary:** Consults with supervisor, systems analysts, IT consultants, other programmers and end users to gather information about program intent, functions, features, data requirements, input requirements, output requirements, internal and external checks and controls, hardware and operating system environment, and interfaces with other systems. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** 1. Among other job duties, Mainly Responsible for PHP, VB.net , Java script related programming 2. Confers with supervisor and representatives of various departments concerned with solutions to questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controls. 3. Formulates plan outlining steps required to develop program, using structured analysis and design. 4. Prepares flowcharts and diagrams to illustrate sequence of steps program must follow and to describe logical operations involved. 5. Compiles code into programs and corrects error detected in compiling process in test environment. 6. Develops test scenarios, creates test transactions, and runs tests to find errors and confirm program meets specifications in the test environment. 7. Writes and maintains documentation of changes to computer code, programs and specifications. 8. Writes manuals for users to describe installation and operating procedures. In occasions, trains users to use programs. 9. Coordinates application development with multiple resources including programming consultants. 10. Reviews user and technical documentation written by others to confirm consistency with program operations. 11. Recreates steps taken by user to locate source of problem and rewrites program to correct errors. 12. Modifies and maintains software programs written by others.
