The IT Project Manager – Digital Marketing is responsible for facilitating the delivery of technical projects within American Heart Association’s digital marketing ecosystem needed to accomplish American Heart Association's mission and meet business outcomes. Responsible for following American Heart Association's standard project methodology for tech delivery and ensures outcomes are aligned with the organization's enterprise business strategies, technical architecture, compliance, legal, governance and digital governance points. Responsible for establishing work priorities for and overseeing the efforts of personnel (including consultants or contractors) involved in project-controlled tasks to provide required achievement of an approved projects objectives, including provision of supporting analytics and reporting as appropriate. Also, responsible for escalating issues for resolution and actively communicating to ensure project awareness and engagement from key BT and business leadership.

Responsibilities Reviews new requests submitted to Business Technology’s digital marketing team. Where applicable, initiates, assigns, plans, and, in some cases, executes, assigned technology initiatives. Oversees the development of initial and revised detailed scope,  cost estimations and forecasts of associated resource and scheduling requirements. Provides initial analysis and consultation to determine initiative level of effort  and scope. Partners with BT colleagues involved in the Salesforce ecosystem and BT intake process to determine approach for meeting business needs. Structures and monitors project activities to completion to ensure adherence with approach, budget, and scope. Resolves issues and supports project progress through direct interaction with team members between meetings. Develops documentation and deliverables and ensures audit trails are in place for each project.Ensures internal customer understanding of and satisfaction with delivery processes. Maintains effective communications with supervisor, business lead and other BT and business leadership to ensure status and issues are known. Identifies, establishes and maintains excellent business relationships with internal and external team members. Ensures follow-up tasks such as after-action reviews are completed with feedback provided to BT leadership for process improvement opportunities as well as coordinated follow-up actions across project managers and application managers for process improvements.Leads efficient handling of change management activities: Provides timely information, minimizes issues or obstacles, and facilitates or coordinates appropriate resources. Establishes change control procedures to evaluate and communicate scope changes. Escalates as needed. Ensures organizational alignment of technology delivered by understanding, communicating, and addressing enterprise standards and approaches including technical architecture, legal regulations, compliance, and other governance points during project life cycle.Manages financial aspects of projects: Tracks utilization of project resources and costs to ensure adherence to project budget estimates as well as required budget reporting. This includes showing project time/costs/resources for the life of project if multi-year. Ensure projects are completed within the assigned and approved budget as previously agreed through project planning or that any necessary changes are approved by VP level or above. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, related area, or equivalent experience Three (3) years of experience with line of business software concepts, systems, and capabilities; specifically in the area of digital marketingThree (3) years of experience in project management in business or technology environmentAbility to work independentlyAbility to explain complex, technical concepts in simple business termsDemonstrated competence and success in prior assignmentsMeeting facilitation skills (in-person and virtual)Ability to facilitate work in the most efficient manner possible

Preferred Experience:

Five (5) years of experience with line of business software concepts, systems, and capabilities; specifically in the area of digital marketing Compensation & Benefits
