IT Project Manager

PSE's IT Infrastructure team is looking for the top candidate to fill our open IT Project Manager position! This person will be responsible for successfully managing key technology-related initiatives that support the company's clean energy transformation. Referred to internally as the "Digital Workplace Transformation," the program aims to drastically improve the tools and ways in which employees work, from large-scale application and OS deployments, delivery of virtual collaboration tools and cloud solutions, and execution of our multi-year AV Conference room strategy.

Job Description Manages the overall coordination, status reporting, financials, schedules and stability of project-oriented work efforts, ensuring that project goals and objectives are met within agreed-upon time, scope and resource requirements. Coordinates work performed by IT staff and internal customers / partners by defining project requirements, and performing feasibility and needs / impact assessments.  Develops detailed project plans and manages all implementation processes including resource allocation, vendor / procurement management, risk management, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, testing, documentation, training and on-time delivery within budget constraints. Coordinates elements of communication and change / process management related to project outcomes across the organization as appropriate. Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE’s operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety. Demonstrates commitment to conduct business honestly, ethically and consistent with our core values and Code of Conduct.  Ensures duties are performed in accordance with all regulatory compliance obligations.
  Job Responsibilities Manages scope, schedule and budget for small to medium-sized projects, or supports others on large projects. Defines tasks and creates project schedules, team work plans, project financials and other project documents with assistance. Identifies issues or risks affecting work progress, communicates these to appropriate project stakeholders and recommends solutions or mitigations.  Works with project sponsors to determine course of action. Effectively communicates key project details related to project status, current risks and issues, project team, budget and project schedule.  Accomplishes this via team meetings, project sponsor meetings, project steering committee meetings and other status reporting methods. Ensures effective flow of communication between management, project sponsors, Program Manager, and project team members. Applies basic project management concepts and practices. Identifies resources required to support project activites and negotiates with management to secure necessary resources. Delegates task and project activites to appropriate team members and ensures completion in accordance with project schedule. Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within the project team with assistance. Tracks project milestones and deliverables. Proactively manages changes in project scope, schedule and budget. Ensures appropriate change request processes are followed. Follows documented project management methodology and IT governance processes. Operates under general supervision. Performs other duties as assigned.
  Minimum Qualifications Two (2) year degree or certification in a technology-related field or equivalent combination of education, work experience or relevant military experience, and at least four (4) years of experience in related field. Strong familiarity with project management software, including MS Project. Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential. Strong team leadership and facilitation skills required. Solid understanding of project management tools and methodologies, and ability to develop and manage project plans and budgets.  Strong verbal and written communication skills, including excellent presentation skills.
  Desired Qualifications Undergraduate degree. Customer centric focus with demonstrated ability to apply insights to meet customer technology needs and improve IT maturity. Proven experience working independently and/or in a team environments to deliver on initiatives. Demonstrated ability to drive for results to deliver against commitments. Growth mindset to rapidly learn new skills and be able to collaborate to deliver creative IT solutions. Solid verbal and written communications skills; ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding. Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM). Project Management Professional (PMP). Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Certification. Six Sigma Certification. The pay range for this position is $96,200.00 - $169,300.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
