Job Description:

Are you a dynamic and driven IT professional with a passion for managing impactful projects? We are seeking an IT Project Manager (IT PM) to join our global team and lead the coordination of IT activities for projects within our portfolio. These projects are medium to large in size, involve no new technology, and are repeatable, impacting no more than two business units and requiring organizational changes by our support teams.

As an IT PM, you will have the opportunity to manage infrastructure build-outs, expansions, and hardware or software upgrade projects independently, ensuring that project objectives and requirements are met. You will work closely with teams across the globe, providing day-to-day oversight of administrative functions to ensure project sustainability and success.

In addition to managing your own projects, you may also assist Senior IT Project Managers on large-scale, complex projects and mentor IT Project Coordinators, helping to develop the next generation of IT leaders

Essential Job Responsibilities

The planning, reporting, resourcing, project kickoff, scheduling, delivery, and closing related activities for medium to large projects.

Build a collaborative working relationship with project stakeholders, both business and technical.

Obtaining and validating project resources; both IT and business.

Ensuring the project scope is clear and that business requirements are understood so that technical requirements and solutions can be developed.

Managing project scope to ensure projects stay on track.

Defining work breakdown structures (WBS) and creating projects schedules by working with project team members.

Driving an appropriate sense of urgency toward project deliverables and project completion with the project team.

Tracking project actuals against the project plan. Baselining and revising the plan when necessary.

Identifying risks and issues throughout the project life cycle. Evaluating courses of action and contingency plans, including mitigations or escalations. 

Removing impediments for the project team.

Tracking project spend against approved budgets and reporting on forecasts and variances, when applicable.

Developing a communications plan to ensure appropriate stakeholders are informed or consulted.

Communicating project status and/or escalations to Project and Executive Sponsors as required.

Providing reporting to ensure stakeholders have a clear understanding of the project status.

Collaborating with project stakeholders to achieve project milestones and customer satisfaction.

Recommending project process improvements.

Qualifications & Characteristics

A minimum of 3-5 years of IT Project Management experience, with a preference for previous IT infrastructure project experience.A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, ideally in a technical or business-related field.Proven success in delivering medium to large-scale IT projects with high customer satisfaction.Exposure to Identity and Access Management services or tools, with Okta being a plus.Familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and automation is advantageous.Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.Proficiency in Word and Excel.Experience with SharePoint, Teams, Visio, and PowerPoint is a plus.Knowledge of the PMI project management framework is beneficial.Ability to earn the respect of senior technical teams, lead projects, coordinate teams, and effectively handle issues and problems in a timely manner.ITIL process framework certification or knowledge is a plus, as is experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodology, including “belt” certification.A legal background is considered an asset.Advanced proficiency in Power BI is mandatory.
