Essential Function

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT-Quality Assurance Intern to join our IT-QA team. This position provides a unique opportunity to collaborate with experienced IT professionals while gaining hands-on experience with QA testing practices. The intern will actively support process improvements, enhance documentation practices, and assist with DevOps and Azure-related tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for technology and quality, a strong analytical mindset, and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. This role is an excellent opportunity to develop key skills in software testing and contribute to the overall success of the QA team.

Primary Duties

40% Hands-on experience in the QA lifecycle, providing valuable exposure to tools and practices that support efficient and scalable software delivery in different projects. 20% Partner with QA leadership team to identify opportunities to optimize QA workflows, ensuring documentation is thorough, clear, and up-to-date, and contributing to the automation of processes 20% Assist in the reviewing the DevOps practices, focusing on continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, and documenting the Azure cloud services relevant to the QA team 20% Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to understand requirements and provide feedback on testing progress and results

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field. Strong academic record and a passion for technology and data analytics. Basic understanding of IT Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.

The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, books, small parts; using a keyboard, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
