IT Quality Assurance Manager

HOW THE IT QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Assuming responsibility for the success of the multi-channel Help Desk supporting customer issues with IT hardware, software, and systems, including team performance improvement and managing ‘shift left’ activities;

Maintaining program service levels pertaining to response and resolution time frames;

Adhering to a formal change control process to ensure agreement on all objectives and tasks; and

Adhering to the quality assurance plan for the program and all task orders.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED: 

Education: A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent years of experience) in a relevant field is required; either a PMP certification or an ITIL 4 Foundation Certification is required.

Experience: at least five (5) years of experience in developing, implementing, and managing QA processes and strategies for software or IT projects. Candidate must demonstrate an in-depth understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management Standards; government contract quality assurance processes and regulations; management of QA activities for large-scale contracts; assessments of the quality of IT supplies, services, and deliverables; and designing and implementing quality assurance surveillance plans in conjunction with a contract’s statement of work.

Technical skills: strong understanding of testing methodologies (like unit, integration, functional, acceptance, and end-to-end testing), proficiency in test case design, defect tracking tools, automation scripting languages (like Selenium), familiarity with the development lifecycle, and the ability to identify and prioritize critical areas for testing, all while maintaining a keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills. 

Security clearance level: All contract personnel must pass a United States Capitol Police background check and are required to be U.S. persons

Skills and abilities: Experience delivering to ‘white glove’ service standards—including serving a large VIP population—using strong interpersonal skills, diplomacy, and tact. Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with contractors, subcontractors, government personnel, project managers, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Location: Washington DC, with the possibility of hybrid performance
