OVERVIEW The IT QA Technologist performs in-depth analytical testing, both functional and technical, for multiple systems or applications at the Enterprise or Sub-Enterprise level. RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned) 1. Possess in-depth functional and technical knowledge of multiple systems or applications, and of the business processes associated with those systems or applications. 2. Create test cases and test plans using appropriate testing tools. Create execution summary reports to describe testing results and expectations. 3. Perform analytical / experiential testing on assigned systems to validate both system functionality and readiness for deployment to production. 4. Document software defects and errors using pre-defined reporting procedures. 5. Operate and maintain test labs as required. Run various setup scripts and procedures as needed to prepare labs for testing requirements as defined by application SMEs. 6. Work with other IT personnel to create workflows and processes to support the automation of manual efforts with assigned systems. 7. Participate in department and group meeting discussions concerning system functionality. 8. Provide basic functional and technical advice regarding assigned systems to other IT personnel. 9. Provide evening and weekend “on call/issue” support as needed. Sheetz is open 24/7/365 and as such, our internal and external customers may require support at any time. QUALIFICATIONS (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered) Education • A four year degree which includes courses or training in computer programming, systems analysis, system development, or systems engineering, is required. • A four year degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering is preferred. Experience • 3 years of experience in a technology environment, to include: • Experience with Agile Concepts and/or Automated Testing techniques is preferred. • Experience with POS, Payment, or other Retail software applications is preferred. Licenses/Certifications • ISTQB Certification or equivalent is preferred. Tools & Equipment • General Office Equipment
