Description We are offering a contract to hire position for an IT Risk and Compliance Specialist in Denver, Colorado. This role is crucial for the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with various regulations, primarily focusing on Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and information security policies. As an IT Risk and Compliance Specialist, you will assist the IT team in evaluating internal controls, coordinating with different departments, and facilitating annual procedure reviews. Responsibilities • Assist in the design and execution of monitoring and testing practices for compliance with the Information Security Policy and PCI requirements. • Collaborate with the Corporate Compliance team and other departments to ensure alignment on compliance initiatives. • Support the IT team in evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls and suggest improvements to enhance compliance and minimize risks. • Develop and implement templates to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal controls. • Identify potential areas of non-compliance and develop strategies to mitigate risks. • Coordinate with external auditors and SOX consultants on IT General Controls (ITGC) and SOX-related activities. • Partner with IT leaders, Internal Audit, and Finance to manage IT SOX controls testing effectively. • Document SOX process flows, narratives, risk and control matrices, and information technology platforms. • Develop testing plans for IT general controls and/or IT application controls. • Train and support process owners, peer testers, and employees on internal controls and best practices. • Monitor the status of issues and remediation efforts. • Work with IT and compliance stakeholders to find and execute opportunities to improve controls testing and outcomes.contrac Requirements + SOX Experience + CISA Certification Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
